While the Rowan 4-ply was beautiful, I would not use it for a cabled sweater, unless I was making it for a Barbie doll. It was much too small. I exchanged it today for Artyarns Supermerino, and got 5 1/2 sts per inch on size 5's and 6 sts per inch on size 4's in pattern G. I think I'll go with the size 4's. All this swatching has taught me I want to do a pullover in the round, not a cardigan back and forth. Crossed in Translation, I'm ready for you!
